Beschreibung
In his hometown of Monterrey (Mexico), photographic artist Alejandro Cartagena documented, down from a bridge, the daily transport of workers to their building sites. This is a standard method of transporting people - on the lorries of pick-up trucks, sometimes amongst materials, tools and machinery.
Of the more than 100 images - taken in 2011 / 2012 - nine are presented by the MOUNTAINVIEW-Gallery. The series *Carpoolers* has since become very well known internationally - and is also represented in various collections (e.g. the Deutsche Börse Photography Foundation).
(By the way: Alejandros grandfather too was one of those people who used to travel to work in this way in the mornings and return home in the evenings, long time ago. This, somehow, is a tribute from his grandson.)
MOUNTAINVIEW-Gallery ist opened daily:Open from 6 am to 12 pm
