Beschreibung
A river remains a river, even as its waters are in constant flux. In this sense, the exhibition “Bless the River” offers a glimpse into our communities and our experiences, lived or speculative. Just as a riverbed maps itself and sets a direction, we too map and move along paths laid out by our ancestors. How and whether we flow within these paths is up to us-whether we sprint or stroll, come to a complete standstill, or perhaps choose our own paths altogether.
Bless the River leans into a practice of honoring bodies of water and praying for all who reside on her shores.
